Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival

Join us February 23-26 as we celebrate the 33rd annual Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival at the Hampton Roads Convention Center! The Merchants Mall will feature everything for quilt, fiber, wearable & textile artists, and home sewers. In addition, MAQF will present the finest collection of quilt, garment, and fiber art exhibitions including quilt and wearable art prize money competitions. Rounding out the event will be workshops and lectures presented by leading instructors along with demonstrations throughout the Merchants Mall. Hampton Roads Convention Center.

PBR: Hampton Classic

The PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour is the top expansion series of PBR featuring some of the best athletes of the sport going head-to-head with the fiercest bulls in the country. The PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour will bring all the high-energy sound, lighting, special effects and edge-of-your-seat action that fans have come to expect from the world leader in the sport of bull riding.

Movie Talks Presents: Zootopia

The office of DEI and the main branch of the Hampton Public Library will host a screening of "Zootopia" on Saturday, followed by a facilitated discussion of its themes as they relate to diversity, unity and inclusion. The free event, which begins at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, will be the first in a series of Movie Talks for adults and children. Popcorn and drinks are provided.

Teetotalers and Moonshiners, and Hampton’s Prohibition Story

The exhibit combines content from the Virginia Library’s 2017 exhibit “Teetotalers and Moonshiners: Virginia’s Prohibition Experiment” with research and artifacts from the Hampton History Museum on the local experience. "Hampton's Prohibition Story" features myriad items to tell the story, including dozens of photographs; numerous bottles, jugs and other containers; games, smoking accoutrements, beverage dispenser, signs and materials of saloon culture; service ware, promotional items and memorabilia from Point Comfort resorts, Phoebus police and fire department items, doctor bag and instruments; and moonshine still components on loan from the Museum of the Albemarle. The exhibit continues through February 4, 2024.

Kids First - Court mandated 4-hour class - Saturday

This 4 hour workshop provides information that can help parents understand what their children experience when their lives are reorganized by divorce, separation and family conflict. It will guide parents in making informed decisions about parenting plans as they transform thier relationship from couple to co-parents. (Satisfies Virginia Legislative requirements for child custody and visitation disputes)

Mothering & Breastfeeding Support Group

Hampton Healthy Families & Sacred Village Doula Services aim to provide the community with support around breastfeeding and transitioning into motherhood. A chance to explore this new transition through empowerment, encouragement and authentic relationships
