  1. CANCELED: Empty Bowls 2020 Fundraising Event

    March 20, 2020, 5:30 PM - 9:00 PM @ Historic Post Office

Statement from the Empty Bowls organization: The love and concern for others that motivates Empty Bowls Virginia Peninsula to host the EBVP fundraiser and that drives you to participate now requires the cancellation of our planned gathering on March 20. Making grants to the charities from our ticket sales and cash donation proceeds will still be possible. We encourage you, our community, to continue to respond with additional donations to these organizations. The charities are SAME, THRIVE, Virginia Foodbank, FISH, Inc., Grove Christian Outreach Center, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Sunday Suppers and LINK of Hampton Roads Inc. Hold on to your tickets but know that is is too soon to tell if the event will be rescheduled." The annual fundraising event benefits local hunger-fighting organizations. Guests sample soups from local participating restaurants and take home a commemorative bowl contributed by local artists, as a reminder of the empty bowls needed to be filled.
