  2. Book Launch - "Fate & Freedom: On Troubled Shores"

    Join author K. I. Knight for the release of On Troubled Shores, the finale of her award-winning Fate and Freedom historical fiction trilogy. Knight, a genealogist, historian, and author, has spent countless hours researching the first Africans to arrive in English North America in 1619, presents the stories of her characters, Margaret and John, and their hope, faith, and courage, during their fight for freedom 400 years ago. The book will be available in the gift shop for $24.95. Museum members enjoy a 10% discount. Feel free to bring your lunch!

  3. Vinnie Knight and The Jazz Riders

    Escape the dog days of summer with an evening of cool American jazz from the 1920s to the present, blues standards and selections from the Great American Songbook with award-winning vocalist Vinnie Knight. She has toured extensively and has brought her music to Europe, Africa and Asia. She attended the prestigious Juilliard School of Music and has shared her talent in mentoring aspiring jazz vocalists. Accompanying Ms. Knight will be James Hancock on bass, Jeremy Ward on bass and Ralph Copley on drums. Beer and wine will be available for purchase. Proceeds benefit the Hampton History Museum.
