    The ELEVATE program is designed to provide families with a safe, fun, and enriching environment for children while the parents are at work. Students in the program receive help with their homework and receive tutoring. They also participate in various recreational activities. The program also offers different enrichment activities. The program also partners with the Foodbank and allows our participants to receive a snack and dinner on a daily basis. For ages 6-12.

    This dynamic photo and artifact-rich experience explores Hampton's integral ties to, and love of, the water that surrounds the city, its seafood and maritime heritage, and passion for sailing as embodied in the locally developed Hampton One sailboat, and the competitive sailing culture that grew out of it.

    While much of the most famous works of art catch our attention due to their grandiosity, the Small Works Exhibition is here to paint a different picture – a miniature one! Artists from around the region and around the Commonwealth are invited to submit miniature and small artworks. Artworks in all media are represented, and the exhibition presents a wide range of styles, techniques, content, imagery and intent. Small two-dimensional works are required to be no larger than 80 square inches and small three dimensional works are required to be no larger than 10 inches on any side. Wonderful things do come in small packages – and they make amazing holiday gifts!

  2. Winter Whimsy at the Hampton Carousel

    Make new holiday memories while enjoying festively adorned horses and the historic Hampton Carousel decked out for the season, along with special carousel organ-type Christmas music. Enjoy a free candy cane while enjoying a wintry spin back in time on this 1920s artistic marvel. Get your carousel fix before we close for the winter! The carousel will open for the season on April 1. Free admission. Rides $1. Hours 11 am to 8 pm, Tuesday through Saturday. Closed Mondays, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Operated by the Hampton History Museum, the Hampton Carousel is located in Carousel Park, 602 Settlers Landing Road in Downtown Hampton. There is free garage and on-street parking.   2. HERE! Attendance Improvement Workshop

    Better attendance leads to a brighter educational future for all students! Healthy Families along with Hampton City Schools provides 90-minute, interactive workshops for family members who need to help their student's attendance. If a student has three (3) or more unexcused absences, taking one of these workshops will help to redirect students toward school success. Families may either volunteer to attend a workshop or can receive a referral from their school. attending may result in a one-time, no more than two (2) absences forgiveness. Certificates will be provided once workshop is completed. All Hampton City Schools provide support and information for families regarding attendance concerns.
