Join a walking tour to explore some of the unexplainable phenomena surrounding historic Fort Monroe. This year the tour will dive into the history and mystery of the buildings and grounds inside the stone fortress. Tours will feature the interiors of the Chapel of the Centurion and Quarters 15 next door to the Chapel. Rattling windows, late night footsteps, Civil War soldiers, bedside figures in the dark, broken grandfather clocks sounding in the dead of night and oddly coincidental fires: these are just a few of the encounters you will hear about when you join us for this year’s Fort Monroe Ghost Walk, Where History Meets Mystery. All ticket sales are final and there will be no refunds. Tours are rain or shine. This is an outdoor, walking tour about half a mile long lasting about an hour. Be advised that many areas and buildings at Fort Monroe are not handicapped accessible. This tour is not recommended for children under the age of 12. Ticket prices include processing fees.
