Animal Control Advisory Committee

  1. Paws, Claws & Tails: Animal talks, displays

    All things related to animals — from the care of our pets to the behavior of wildlife — will be discussed at Paws, Claws & Tails, sponsored by the Hampton Animal Control Advisory Committee. Representatives from the following agencies and organizations will be on hand to answer questions and provide information one-on-one throughout the evening: Peninsula Chicken Keepers, Clean City Commission, CatSnip, Cat Corner, Peninsula SPCA, Animal Emergency Center, Mutts on a Mission, Hampton Animal Control, Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter, Hampton CART, Joy Chi Veterinary Acupuncture, Virginia Department of Wildlife and Inland Fisheries, Animal Aid Society, Wildlife Response.

    "Civil War Journey" is an extraordinary touring exhibition organized by the Virginia Museum of History & Culture. Eyewitness accounts and images from the Civil War memoir of Union soldier, cartographer, and Confederate prisoner of war Robert Knox Sneden are showcased in an exhibition of 45 watercolor maps and drawings that provide a unique and mesmerizing perspective on the Civil War.
