An Author Talk with Richard "Deej" Webb (Virtual Program)

Friday, April 23, 2021

F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald honeymooned in Westport, Connecticut in the summer of 1920. Historian Richard "Deej" Webb, who grew up in Westport, will present his fascinating hypothesis that their summer there inspired Fitzgerald's classic novel, The Great Gatsby. Webb is the author of Boats Against the Current, a treasure trove of photographs and documents which also recounts Webb's own journey of making the documentary, Gatsby in Connecticut: The Untold Story, with fellow Westporter and filmmaker, Robert Steven Williams.
