    Join us on Zoom as we host a presentation by The Mariners' Museum and Park on the legacy and tragedy of the RMS Titanic. Built of iron and designed for unsurpassed luxury and comfort, the RMS Titanic set sail on her maiden voyage in April 1912. She was not able to complete that first trip. Examine the facts and fiction surrounding this remarkable vessel and the disaster that brought about her end. Presented by Wisteria Perry, Manager of Interpretation and Community Outreach at the Mariners' Museum and Park.

  5. An Author Talk with Richard "Deej" Webb (Virtual Program)

    F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald honeymooned in Westport, Connecticut in the summer of 1920. Historian Richard "Deej" Webb, who grew up in Westport, will present his fascinating hypothesis that their summer there inspired Fitzgerald's classic novel, The Great Gatsby. Webb is the author of Boats Against the Current, a treasure trove of photographs and documents which also recounts Webb's own journey of making the documentary, Gatsby in Connecticut: The Untold Story, with fellow Westporter and filmmaker, Robert Steven Williams.
