  4. Remember the 400 presents "The Journey"

    This spectacular and thought-provoking production portrays a story of an enslaved people, transported from the coast of Western Africa to the Caribbean and the Americas. You will hear the emotion in the voices of our fathers and mothers when in the wilderness and in the slave market. You will be there following every passage of history, every chapter, every footstep they took. You will laugh and you will cry. The story of the "Journey" is our story, told through song, spoken word and dance.

  5. Buckroe Beach Farmers Market

    The Buckroe Beach Farmers Market is open each Saturday, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m., May 4 through Nov. 16. Sept. 14 is a fitness market (rescheduled from June 1), Sept. 21 will be vintage-themed, and Oct. 19 is a pet market. Because of other events, there is no market on Aug. 31 and Sept. 7. Vendors will be located on the grassy area surrounding the Buckroe Beach gazebo and will sell local produce, baked goods, sausage, seafood, jarred food items and more.

    The Hampton Division of Fire and Rescue, the City of Hampton and the American Red Cross are sponsoring a blood drive at City Hall.
