Carousel Park & Hampton Carousel
The Hampton Carousel needs repair and is not operational. The building will be closed until further notice. However, special viewings of the stationary carousel can be made by appointment, in advance, by calling the Hampton History Museum at 757-727-6806. Follow the Hampton History Museum on Facebook for updates and re-opening news.
The Attraction Built in 1920, the carousel is completely restored to its original beauty and housed in its own weather-protected pavilion on the city’s downtown waterfront. It is one of only 170 antique wooden merry-go-rounds still existing in the U.S.
