[ARCHIVED] Compensation and classification study information is available online

Since Monday, 680 employees attended 1 of the 17 information sessions held by Management Advisory Group, MAG.  During those sessions employees learned about the study and the importance of providing feedback on their job by completing the Job Analysis Questionnaire, JAQ. Below are a few things to know as you prepare to complete the JAQ.

1. For those employees who were unable to attend a session, you can click on the following link to access a videotaped session at http://youtu.be/r7v-aSqNXs8. This video is only accessible by clicking on this link or from the Employee Connection Page at Hampton.gov/employeesand cannot be accessed through the general YouTube library. A PowerPoint presentation is also available.

2.
To complete the JAQ, please go to www.maginc.org. You will enter your employee id for both your user name and password. If you’ve forgotten yours, you can log into iPay. Your employee number is the last 4 digits of the FILE# at the top of your pay statement. Please be aware that the first few screens may take a little longer to process due to the large amount of data processing in the background. Once you get to question 4 or 5, you will notice faster processing times. A list of frequently asked questions and answers is available.

3. Please make arrangements with your supervisor to complete the JAQ during regular work hours, with minimal disruption to city services. The time spent completing the JAQ is compensable. The JAQ can be completed by a group or individually.

4. September 12th is the deadline to for employees to complete the JAQ and September 19th is the deadline for supervisors to review their employee’s responses.

Please share this information with employees who don’t have access to email.

Thanks for your participation and look for updates as we move forward with this study.
