[ARCHIVED] Food for Thought: The Library of Virginia's Tom Ray talks about their Cookbook Collection

Tom co-authored Greetings From Richmond, an architectural history of the city as seen on vintage postcards, published in 2009. Tom holds degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and North Carolina Central University, and has completed the course work for an architectural studies degree at VCU. He is an avid gardener and collects outsider, or self-taught, Southern folk art. Tom’s cooking skills are very basic but he is known among his colleagues and friends for his cakes, homemade ice creams and brandied peaches.
