[ARCHIVED] Winter Storm Warning: Possible 3-5 inches of snow

The Winter Storm Warning begins at 1 p.m. Tuesday, with light snow expected from 2-7 p.m. Heavier snow is expected later, possibly during rush hour. With temperatures around 21 degrees, we could see roads ice up.
Continued snowfall overnight is expected. Wednesday's high will only be about 27 degrees.
Hampton's Public Works Department is pre-treating main roads and moving to 12-hours shifts in preparation for the storm.
Snowfall estimates vary widely. Most forecasters expect northeastern North Carolina to be hit hardest, with Richmond receiving very little snow. The intensity of the storm and how far it pushes into the coast will determine what it looks like in Hampton.
