[ARCHIVED] Fort Monroe pool reopens for open and lap swimming after repairs

Aug. 2, 2021 — The swimming pool at the Fort Monroe Community Center has reopened after being closed while a heater was being repaired.

Open swimming and lap swimming for residents is available again at the community center at 100 Stillwell Road and at the Hampton Aquatics Center, at 300 Butler Farm Road. The Fort Monroe pool hours are 8 a.m.-noon and 4-7:45 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday. Hampton Aquatics Center hours are 8 a.m.-noon and 4-7:45 p.m. Monday and Wednesday. Lap swimming lanes are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Repairs on the pool heater and air handler system were completed Friday, July 30. The pool heater was completely replaced.
