June 16, 2020 - The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a coastal flood advisory until 11 p.m. this evening. Shallow flooding is expected near the waterfront and shoreline, resulting in a low threat of property damage. Some roads and low-lying property, including parking lots, parks and lawns near the waterfront, will experience shallow flooding. The Emergency Management Office said If travel is required, allow extra time because some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth, and take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. Emergency Management will continue monitoring the forecast and weather.
