May 20, 2020 - Beginning the week of May 27, a contractor for the city will begin repaving Settlers Landing Road from Pembroke Avenue to Eaton Street. Barring any major delays, the project is expected to end the week of June 17. Work will begin between Pembroke Avenue and Armistead Avenue and will take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. The resurfacing of Settlers Landing Road between Armistead Avenue and Eaton Street will take place between the hours of 7 p.m. and 5 a.m.

The replacement of the vehicle sensors in the road that trigger the overhead traffic signals, and the restriping of the road, will take place between 8:30 a.m. 4 p.m. to avoid rush hour traffic. During construction, motorists should expect significant traffic congestion, delays and disrupted traffic patterns. Drivers are encouraged to avoid this area during repaving if possible, and to reduce speed and follow traffic control measures.

Public Works also said the repaving schedule for a section of Mercury Boulevard has changed due to the weather forecast.  Construction will now begin the week of May 27 and end the week of June 9.
