May 5, 2020 - Beginning May 11, a Public Works Department contractor will begin repaving westbound Mercury Boulevard between Kilgore Avenue and Build America Drive. Barring any delays, the project will take about three weeks and should end the week of June 1. Most work will take place between 7 p.m.-5 a.m. Motorists can expect traffic congestion and delays during the repaving. Drivers are encouraged to avoid this area if possible, reduce vehicle speed, and follow traffic control measures. Public Works will regularly monitor the work. Also Tuesday, Public Works said the repaving project on Armistead Avenue, at the LaSalle Avenue intersection, between the I-64 overpass and the M. Scott Carpenter Bridge, should be finished the week of May 18, as scheduled.
