[ARCHIVED] Public Works scheduled to start repaving work on Armistead Avenue the week of April 27

April 21, 2020 - Starting on April 27, a contractor for Public Works will begin repaving work on Armistead Avenue at the LaSalle Avenue intersection, between the I-64 overpass and the M. Scott Carpenter Bridge near Home Depot. The project is expected to end the week of May 18. Most work will take place between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. Motorist are encouraged to avoid the area if possible, use alternate routes to Langley Air Force Base, reduce vehicle speeds and follow traffic control measures. Public Works’ Streets and Bridges Division will monitor the work to ensure that disruption to daily activities is minimal. Questions? Please citizen call center at 3-1-1 or 757-727-8311.
