[ARCHIVED] Voters go to the polls today for the 'Super Tuesday' primary election

vote

March 3, 2020 - Virginia is one of the states for the “Super Tuesday” primary vote. Polls will be open today from 6 a.m.-7 p.m. to choose a candidate for president in the Democratic Primary. Republicans chose not to hold a primary but will select delegates to their national convention later this year at a state convention. Because Democrats are the only party holding a presidential primary, any registered Virginia resident can vote in the Democratic Primary. You can go online to find your voting place. You do not need to bring proof of their voter registration today, but you will need an acceptable photo ID, which includes a Virginia driver’s license,  U.S. passport, an employer-issued photo ID, and a student photo ID issued by a school, college or university in Virginia. For more information visit the Virginia Department of Elections website.
