[ARCHIVED] It's not too late to get your kids prepared for the next emergency or disaster

Sept. 18, 2019 - September is National Preparedness Month, and each week has a special theme. This week the focus is on kids. FEMA's "Ready" campaign has launched updated web pages where you can find games, activities, disaster information and curricula for kids of all ages, their families, and those who work with young people. During week 1 (Sept. 1-7), the theme was Save Early for Disaster Costs. In Week 2 (Sept. 8-14), the theme was Make a Plan to Prepare for Disasters. In Week 3 (Sept. 15-21), the theme is Teach Youth to prepare for Disasters. And during week 4 (Sept. 22-30), the theme is Get Involved in Your Community’s Preparedness. You can visit the ready.gov website to learn about planning for an emergency, how to make a “go” bag for emergencies, and much more.
