[ARCHIVED] Director of Peninsula Technology Incubator named

Mr. Thomas Flake has been named director of the Peninsula Technology Incubator (PTI). Thomas Flake began his employment with the National Institute of Aerospace (NIA) on March 26, 2012 as director of the new Peninsula Technology Incubator. Flake received his MBA from the College of William & Mary, Williamsburg, VA and his BS in Business Administration from Old Dominion University. Flake previously worked as a member of the management team with Jacobs Engineering, and prior to that he was the founder of Synergy Consultants, LLC which was later purchased by Picus, LLC of Virginia Beach, VA where he continued to work as Chief Operating Officer.

The Peninsula Technology Incubator is a 14,000 square foot facility complete with wet and dry lab space located within The NIA Research and Innovation Laboratories facility. PTI provides startup businesses with the resources they need to position themselves as they implement their business plan and work towards raising capital. PTI focuses on providing a space to collaborate and access to area business leaders that help mentor young companies.
