[ARCHIVED] Nettles Lane Community Cleanup Completed!

March 23, 2019 - Nettles Lane Community Cleanup is DONE! 38 bags of trash, 391 cigarette butts, a hammer, sofa cushions, fuel containers, 5 cans of paint, a bed frame, 5 five-gallon drums, 7 tires, a hubcap, 5 cans of paint, 7 jugs of oil, 1 countertop, 9 PVC pipes, parts of an artificial Christmas tree, and enough miscellaneous car parts to build half a car.

A million thanks to the hardy souls who accomplished this major cleanup: Ashley Ault & Matthew Green; Joan Bastian; Mary, Conner, Chase, and Shane Breene; George Curran; Holly, Wayne, and Caylyn Dryden; Becky Holliday; Keshawna James and Kara & Alana Green; Michael Mallozzi; Maria Riegger; Charles Sikes Jr; and Lisa & Francisco Ulmer.

The absolute best thing in the world would be if people didn't litter or illegally dump at all. The next best thing is to have Hampton Heroes like these who are willing to put time and sweat into keeping our city clean and beautiful. We can't say enough good things about these folks!
