[ARCHIVED] Nominate someone for Unity Award, then attend the ceremony on June 7

April 12, 2019 - Hampton’s Citizens’ Unity Commission is accepting applications for the 2019 Unity Awards, which will be presented on Friday, June 7, at 6:30 p.m. in the American Theatre, 125 E. Mellen St.

The awards celebrate the accomplishments of the commission and acknowledge people who have made positive contributions towards diversity and inclusion in Hampton. To learn more about the commission, or to nominate an individual, business or initiative for the Unity Award, please visit www.hampton.gov/unity. The deadline for submissions is Monday, May 20.

The free awards ceremony on June 7 is sponsored by the Citizens’ Unity Commission and the Unity Awards Sub-Committee. For more information email Latiesha D. Handie, executive director of the commission, at latiesha.handie@hampton.gov, or call 757-727-8311.
