Hampton home sales and average price continued to increase in March

April 12, 2019 - The number of home sold and they price they commanded continue to rise in Hampton, according to sales data reported by the Real Estate Information Network.

Sales data from March 2019 show 209 settled sales, up 31 percent from the same month last year. The median sales price was $178,500, an increase of 11.6% from the previous year.

Buyers have fewer homes to choose from, as the number of Hampton homes on the market — or active listings — continues to decline. That’s an indication that homes are selling more quickly. The agency reported 618 homes for sale in March, 14.17 percent fewer than a year ago. In fact, that the fewest number of active listings in Hampton in more than four years.
