Feb. 5, 2019 - Business Exchange Hampton kicks off a new speaker series on March 7 by inviting a panel of successful women to talk about the challenges, opportunities, and lessons they have experienced in life.
March is Women's History Month and March 8 is International Women's Day. The program will be held at the American Theater, 125 East Mellen St., from 8:30-10 a.m. While the program is free, registration is required.
Panelists include Hampton City Manager Mary B. Bunting; Hampton City Council member and former commonwealth's attorney Linda Curtis; Denise Slaysman, communications director of Women in Defense; Marian Seaton, president of Women in Construction; Regina Mobley, former WVEC-TV anchor; and Deborah Stearns, senior vice president of JLL real estate. Leadership expert Alvean Lyons will be the moderator.
Business Exchange Hampton is an initiative of the city's Economic Development Department aimed at creating monthly events that bring together businesses and community leaders to exchange information, experiences and new ideas about workforce development, professional growth, and new business practices.
