Citizen Fire Academy gives residents an inside look at Hampton's Fire Division

Jan. 26, 2019 - Residents are invited to register today for the Hampton Fire Division's upcoming Citizen Fire Academy, March 21-May 9.

Meet the fire chief, learn what it takes to provide fire and emergency medical services to residents, and much more on Thursdays from 6:30-9 p.m.

Classes may also cover an overview of the Fire Division, the use of personal protective equipment such as helmets and other gear, technical rescues, fire engine and boat tours, and much more.

Those as young as 16 can participate with an attending parent or guardian. At the end of the course participants will receive a certificate of completion and a division challenge coin.
