Small House Model on top of Blueprints

Jan. 4, 2019 - The Hampton Redevelopment and Housing Authority has issued a Request for Proposals, or RFP, for a grant writing service to work with the Authority's educational foundation.

Originally created to redevelop the downtown area of Hampton, the Authority owns and operates three public housing apartment complexes and manages more than 3,000 Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers throughout the city. The Authority also owns or manages more than 400 non-public housing units in the city and has a contract with Hampton to be a "subrecipient" of money from the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Details about the RFP can be obtained at HRHA offices, 1 South Armistead Ave., by calling 757-727-2691, or by emailing Michelle Barnes at mbarnes@hamptonrha.com. All general questions related to the RFP must be submitted before Jan. 31, 2019. All RFP are due to HRHA by 4 p.m. on Feb. 28, 2019.
