Public invited to opening of Mill Creek Pier behind Fort Monroe Community Center

Nov. 14, 2018 - The public is invited to the opening of  the Mill Creek Pier Saturday behind the Fort Monroe Community Center, 100 Stillwell Road. The pier will be used as a paddleboat and kayak launch by Hampton’s Parks, Recreation & Leisure Services Department, and as a practice and regatta venue by Youth Sailing Virginia. Youth Sailing Virginia is a non-profit dedicated to developing a youth sailing program that serves the greater Hampton Roads area.  The dedication will be at the pier at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17.
