National Weather Service issues urban, small stream flood advisory for Hampton

June 6, 2018 - The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued an Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for areas in Hampton and surrounding communities until 6:15 p.m. 

Hampton's Emergency Management Office said radar indicates heavy rain due to thunderstorms could cause flooding at Hampton University and Langley Air Force Base, and in Northampton, Buckroe Beach, Fort Monroe, Grand View, Fox Hill, Phoebus, Langley View, Hilton Village and Raleigh Terrace.  

Emergency Management will continue to monitor the weather and provide updates on conditions. Residents are encouraged to monitor local news reports.
