Fire officials urge you to stay safe and legal during the 4th of July holiday

July 3, 2018 - Local fire officials want to remind residents that professional, licensed, public fireworks displays are the safest way to enjoy fireworks on the 4th of July. And only licensed, professional fireworks displays are legal in Hampton Roads. Any fireworks that explode, emits a flame or sparks, or performs as a projective is prohibited. Hampton's Division of Fire & Rescue, and the Hampton Roads Regional Fire & Rescue Public Information Association, recommend that you enjoy the holiday and leave the fireworks to the professionals.
