City honors high school valedictorians, salutatorians, dual enrollment graduates

May 24, 2018 - Hampton City Council Wednesday  honored the 2017-2018 Hampton City School valedictorians and salutatorians, as well as the first graduates of the Dual Enrollment program. The program allows students to take college courses through Thomas Nelson Community College, giving them the opportunity to graduate with both their high school diploma and an associate's degree. 

  • Phoebus High School valedictorian: Noah Easter
  • Phoebus salutatorian: Angela Garris 
  • Bethel High School valedictorian: Rahwa Yendego
  • Bethel salutatorian: Alexandra Luchtenberg
  • Kecoughtan High School valedictorian: Shannon Hepp 
  • Kecoughtan salutatorian: Claire Nelson 
  • Hampton High School valedictorian: I Lang Jung 
  • Hampton salutatorian: Melinda Nelson
  • Dual Enrollment graduates: Shannon Hepp and Parker Bunting of Kecoughtan High School
