[ARCHIVED] Congratulations to the August 2013 Yard of the Month Winners!

The yards were assessed on their aesthetic value, their environmental friendliness, and proper maintenance. Kudos to those who nominated these beautiful yards.

Each month three yards will be selected as winners. Judging will continue through the month of September. Nominate your favorite yard today!

Thank you to the HCCC YARDS Judges who evaluated these yards (Shirley Boyd, Lana Brin, Jeanie Goldberg, Marie Smith, Loye Spencer, Marty Tennille, Megan Tierney, Tammy Trietch, Anne Tucker, and Melinda Web) and to our YARDS Contest sponsors: Bloxom’s Nursery, Countryside Gardens, McDonald Garden Center, and Mercury Mulch. Our wonderful sponsors provide gift certificates to the monthly winners.

To nominate your favorite yard for this contest go online, email the street address to hccc@hampton.gov, or call 727-1130. Nominees will receive a packet with an acceptance page and a survey, and return these to the Hampton Clean City Commission office. After receipt of these documents, a volunteer contacts the nominee and arranges for the evaluation visit.
