[ARCHIVED] Public invited to help homeless vets, support healthy lifestyle at VA2K Walk & Roll

May 9, 2018 - The 8th annual VA2K Walk & Roll, which helps homeless veterans and promotes a healthy lifestyle, will be held on May 16 starting at 11 a.m. at the Hampton VA Medical Center, 100 Emancipation Drive.

The two kilometer walk (about 1.24 miles) is free and open to the public. Participants are encouraged to be in front of Building 110 15 minutes before the start. Participants are also encouraged to bring a donation, such as a Hampton Roads Transit bus pass, phone card or healthy no-cook foods. Since 2011, the VA2K has raised about $2 million for homeless veterans.
