[ARCHIVED] Attend I Value budget meeting Saturday morning, take online poll through March 8

i-value-nf

Feb. 23, 2018 - Attend the I Value budget meeting Saturday morning and tell City Manager Mary Bunting about the programs and city services you value most for the next fiscal year. You can also go online and take a short poll that looks at some of the services that will be considered during FY2019 budget discussions. The poll will be open through March 8.

Saturday's public meeting will be held at Kecoughtan High School, 522 Woodland Road, from 9-11 a.m.

In most cities, developing a budget is an internal process, and residents can't weigh in until formal public hearings are held before a city council meeting. Since FY2010, Hampton's city manager has asked for public input before she develops a recommended budget for City Council. The resulting public sessions and online polls have helped inform residents about city revenue, expenses and services.
