Sign up now for Citizen Police Academy and learn more about how officers do their jobs

connect-protect-hampton

Jan. 24, 2018 - Learn more about what it takes to keep Hampton citizens safe by signing up for the Citizen Police Academy. Registration deadline is Feb. 26 . Classes begin on March 12.

The 12-week program includes discussions about ethics, laws, community-oriented policing, officer safety techniques and much more. The Academy is designed to teach residents about the mission, policies, and day-to-day operations of the Police Division. The larger goal, however, is to improve communication between citizens and police and dispel misconceptions the community may have about the police.

For more information and to register contact Senior Police Officer Ernest Williams at ewilliams@hampton.gov, or call 757-810-6683.
