WastewaterSanitary sewer repairs will be made this week on Chapel Street, Duncan Drive, Burgess Avenue, Beauregard Heights, Raleigh Avenue, Chesterfield Road, Pelchat Drive, Wilderness Road, and LaSalle Avenue. Sewers will be cleaned and inspected on Queen Street, Milford Avenue, Homestead Avenue, Fairland Avenue, Rutherford Street, York Street and Downing Street.

Maintenance will be performed on pump stations on Ferguson Court, East Pembroke Avenue, Seldondale Drive, Fortworth Street and Beach Road.

Solid WasteResidents are reminded that trash, recycling and other waste should not be put by the curb until after 3 p.m. the day before it’s collected. Containers have to be taken away from the curb no later than midnight on the day of collection. Persistent code violators face a fine of up to $150 per incident. PavingThe contractor expects to begin paving this week on Semple Farm Road. Paving or milling work is also scheduled for Price Street, Anthony Drive, Fordham Lane and Marion Road on Wednesday, Smiley Road and Ford Road on Thursday, and Marion Road and Oneda Drive on Friday. Weather permitting, a tentative schedule for paving throughout the city has been released for the next six months. Go online to see the list of streets scheduled.

Traffic OperationsWeather permitting, center lines, edge lines and other painting will be done in northwest Hampton, including North Armistead Avenue, Big Bethel Road, Cunningham Drive, Hardy Cash Drive and Magruder Boulevard.

BridgesSidewalk repairs will be made Wednesday and Thursday at Bridge Street and Rudd Lane. Repairs are also planned for Friday on the bridge over Long Creek at Beach Road.
