[ARCHIVED] FY 2018 report from assessor - including key real estate facts - now available online

Oct. 10, 2017 - The 2018 fiscal year report from the Office of the Assessor of Real Estate is now available online at www.hampton.gov/assessor. It can be found on the right side of the assessor's web page under “Reports and Presentations.”

The annual report notes that “innovation has been a hallmark of the assessor’s office,” and that they have been certified by the International Association of Assessing Officers every year since 2011. Hampton was the first city in Virginia and the eighth internationally to receive that accreditation.

The report highlights the role of the assessor’s office, educational and professional development efforts, and key facts about real estate in the city, including information from the “land book,” which represents the value of each parcel of property in Hampton as of July 1.
