May 2, 2017 - More than 150 volunteers from across the city - including some city staff - will converge on the northern Phoebus area this Saturday, May 6, for the Hampton Home Repair Blitz. Using donated material, manpower and time, the volunteers will work from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. to  paint, repair and clean six homes and two schools.

The Blitz is a joint effort of Hampton’s Community Development Department; Habitat for Humanity, Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg; and the Hampton Redevelopment and Housing Authority. It is designed to concentrate exterior housing improvements on one neighborhood in a single day, changing homes and neighborhoods. Photos from past efforts can be found on Facebook at
