Hampton Clean City Commission YARDS Contest Beautification Committee

The Hampton Yards Are Really Distinctive Showplaces (YARDS) Contest is open for nominations! Nominate the beautiful yards in your neighborhood today! It's easy to nominate. Visit the easy-to-use web link below, email hccc@hampton.gov one or a list of beautiful yards addresses with the subject line YARDS NOMINATION to hccc@hampton.gov, or call 757-727-1130 with the addresses of beautiful yards.

Beautiful yards make neighborhoods more beautiful, and more beautiful neighborhoods make our city more beautiful. Do your part to encourage people to have beautiful yards by nominating the beautiful yards you see.

What makes a beautiful yard? Basically, it's curb appeal. If you see a yard that just looks beautiful, don't hesitate, nominate!

Hampton Clean City Commission YARDS Judges will look for key principles that make beautiful yards also good for our environment. Good lawn care practices, good plant selection and placement, and thoughtful use of resources are all part of a YARDS winning yard!

Each month from May through September three winners will be selected, and the best of the Yard of the Month winners will become the Yard of the Year, which will be announced in October.
