[ARCHIVED] Police begin community meetings aimed at cutting guns, gangs, drugs

Oct. 31, 2016 - Hampton Police Division began holding community meetings this week to discuss the new Community Response Team and how violent crime impacts residents. Citizens are urged to get involved and attend one of the two meetings remaining this week:

*Tuesday, Nov. 1st at 7 p.m. at the Y.H. Thomas Community Center
*Thursday, Nov. 3rd at 7 p.m. at Merrimac Elementary School

Using officers from various backgrounds and specialties, the Community Response Team is designed to reduce the number of crimes that are related to guns, gangs and drugs.
