[ARCHIVED] News from Anthem: Patient First Update

New patients are being defined by Patient First as those who have never been seen at a Patient First location and would not affect "established patients". If a member has received care at a Patient First in the past, he or she should not be turned away. Separately, Patient First will also no longer participate in the Anthem Medicaid/FAMIS network effective Feb. 3, 2016.

The decision to close to new Anthem and Healthkeepers members was a decision Patient First made and not Anthem.

Anthem is going to continue to negotiate the terms with Patient First and in the meantime, other primary care and urgent care providers can be found on the Anthem website.
