Applications available for summer youth employment program

Jan. 6, 2016 - The city is accepting applications now for the Summer Youth Employment Program.

The program is open to young men and women who are residents of Hampton. Interested applicants must be 16 on or before June 1, 2016. The program is designed to help participants develop job skills, provide a path to future employment, and prevent youth violence.

Participants will be introduced to Hampton government by working in one of several city departments. Applications are available online, in city libraries and in community centers. They are due by March 4, 2016.
