[ARCHIVED] Council gets update on city's 'Safe and Clean' campaign

June 6, 2015 - Hampton City Council gets a progress update on the city's "Safe and Clean" campaign - and an update on youth violence prevention efforts - at an afternoon work session Wednesday.

Briefings are also scheduled on the recent Dutch Dialogues meeting that studied regional flooding issues, and on developments at Peninsula Town Center.

During an evening meeting Wednesday there will be public hearings on permits for live entertainment at Sushi King restaurant in Peninsula Town Center and for a playground and basketball court at Westview Lakes subdivision.

The afternoon meeting begins at 1 p.m. The evening meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. Both will be in Council Chambers on the 8th floor of City Hall (photo, right) at 22 Lincoln St. They will be broadcast live on the city TV channel (Cox 47 and Verizon 23).
