[ARCHIVED] Nominate a Beautiful Yard Today!

YARDS Contest 2015

Hampton residents are masterful landscapers, and our city is filled with beautiful, distinctive yards. Please nominate a yard for the YARDS Contest today so our residents can be recognized for their efforts. Nominate a YARD today! Go to the HCCC web page, go to the Quick Links on the right, and select "Nominate a Yard!" All we need on the form is the address, although the resident's name is a nice bonus.

After the resident is nominated, he or she will receive a packet, return a survey form, and be scheduled for an evaluation visit. If your nominee wins one of three Yard of the Month awards, the prize will be gift certificates from local garden retailers and the opportunity to win Yard of the Year in October!

Yards are evaluated based curb appeal, plant selection, design, good maintenance, good gardening and environmental practices, and special touches, which all combine to make a yard distinctive, beautiful, and Bay friendly.
