[ARCHIVED] Hampton to open on 2-hour delay Wednesday; roads may become icy overnight

Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015 – Hampton city offices will open on a 2-hour delay Wednesday, with a liberal leave policy for employees. Although main roads were largely clear by Tuesday afternoon, cold weather is expected to cause ice, making travel hazardous.
For Wednesday, February 18, City of Hampton essential personnel for emergency operations should report to work as directed by their supervisor. However, City offices will delay opening for 2 hours. After the two hour delay, liberal leave is available for those employees not designated as essential for emergency operations. Employees who wish to exercise liberal leave must coordinate in advance with their supervisor.
