[ARCHIVED] Hampton offices closed; roads still slick

Roads are slick, even where they've been plowed, due to freezing and ice. Officials suggest people stay home if they don't have to be out. Also, less traffic helps the snowplows do their work.
Hampton has about 35 snow trucks on the roads. Public Works continues to focus on the main roads, and reports that ice is a problem in many places.
The city's essential personnel should report for work, but other facilities -- City Hall offices, libraries and community centers -- will be closed on Tuesday.
