City to conduct employee compensation, classification study

Posted on August 27, 2014 at 4:21 PM by Fred Gaskins

The City of Hampton has contracted with Management Advisory Group (MAG) to conduct a compensation and classification study for positions within the City’s compensation plan.

MAG will be on-site this week conducting employee information sessions to explain the study and the specific process of gathering  information on each job in the City through a Job Analysis Questionnaire..

The sessions will last approximately 45 minutes and employees are encouraged to attend to learn about the study and the importance of your participation in the process. You will be able to ask questions as well.

The schedule is listed below. The highlighted sessions have limited seating and are available to department personnel only. Pre-registration is not required, however you are encouraged to make arrangements with your supervisor to minimize the disruption of City services.

If you are unable to attend a meeting, you can go online to view one that was videotaped. Employees should go to www.maginc.org to take the study. You will need your employee number to log in to the survey. If you've forgotten your employee number, you can log into ipay here. Your employee number is the last four digits of the FILE # at the top of your pay statement.

You can also go online to see a list of frequently asked questions. for more information, feel free to contact the Human Resources Department at hrfrontdesk@hampton.gov or 727-6407.
