The Streets and Roads Division handles the maintenance and repair of all city-owned streets and bridges, including:
Street resurfacing and repaving

Hampton has an extensive street sweeping program. You can use the city's Geographic Information System system to find out when your street will be swept, and much more. Curbs and gutters
Streets and Roads employees maintain more than 700 miles of curb and gutter in the city. The Public Works 311 Call Center can assist you with curb and gutter repairs. New curbs and gutters are only installed as a capital project approved by City Council each year. You can request curb or gutter repair by dialing 3-1-1 or calling (757) 727-8311 from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week. You can also request help using our online form.
The city's Customer Call Center can answer your questions about sidewalk repair. Just dial 3-1-1 or call (757) 727-8311 from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week. Potholes and cracked pavement
Potholes are usually caused by water that gets under the pavement, expands, and causes the surface of the road to deteriorate. The city patches more than 7,200 potholes each year.
