In an effort to limit the potential spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), Hampton City Hall is closed to the public, some limited functions are ongoing with limited staff both in office and teleworking capabilities. Any correspondence will be by email and/or phone.
Yard sale permits have been suspended until further notice.
At this time, we are not accepting any paper or hardcopy applications, plans, or checks that would normally be received by mail. We encourage all our customers to submit any applications, revisions or information to us as a PDF attachment in an email and send it to email@example.com. Field inspections are being limited at this time and all in-office meetings are canceled. Conference calls can be arranged as necessary.
Hampton’s Online Permit & Inspections Center lets you go online to apply for permits, request inspections, check the status of your inspection request and pay associated fees - 24 hours a day - from any computer or mobile device.
Residents can get a yard sale permit online and pay with a credit card, without having to go to City Hall.
Please use the electronic fillable permit applications to submit for the applicable permit type needed for your scope of work. Then email that particular application to firstname.lastname@example.org for processing. Once complete you will be notified of the fees due and how to obtain your permit.
