This unique festival provides an opportunity for children and adults alike to experience and learn from cultures from across the globe. Megan Canny Girl Scout Gold Award WinnerSpotlight on Citizens

On this edition of Spotlight on Citizens, Mayor Molly Ward awards a proclamation in honor of Megan Canny of Girl Scout Troop 1256 for earning the Girl Scout Gold Award. Megan received this high recognition for her successful efforts to beautify Hampton’s Honor Park. The program also highlights Hampton City School’s two winning Battle of the Books teams: Mary Peake Center and Syms Middle School.

City Council Meetings

Hampton City Council meetings will now begin at 7 p.m. (instead of 7:30 p.m.) on the second Wednesday of every month.  There will only be one evening council meeting every month unless a special meeting is scheduled.  Afternoon work sessions will now take place at 1:00 p.m. (instead of 2:00 p.m.) on the second and fourth Wednesdays of every month.  Typically, these meetings are televised live on Hampton City Channel HCC-TV and are simulcast on this website at: www.hampton.gov/council/council_meetings.html
